Ancient Chinese Fashion

Ancient China had a different style of clothes than the United States. The clothes worn all depended on which the dynasty or year they were in. Chinese people always took in the styles, which they were supposed to wear very quickly, although the dynasties changed. In many ways the items they wore had a connection with demons and or evil spirits. The Ancient Chinese had a very unique sense of style.
Clothing embroidered the harmonious relationship between nature and people. Peasants and regular citizens dressed differently from high-ranked officials. The high-ranked officials dressed in the finest silk for public outings and celebrations, and less expensive clothes at home. The peasants wore a long shirt like garment, made of undyed hemp fiber, which altered little until modern times. While the officials wore silk, the peasants, men specifically, wore baggy pants made of hemp with a loose cotton shirt. Peasant women wore simple wool garments in the winter and cotton in the spring. Peasant children wore children size of their parents clothes.

Each dynasty had popular clothing that all the citizens knew about. The Tang Dynasty had the system of the full dress, which was strict. During the Han, women usually wore the ruqun, a two piece ensemble consisting of jackets and a long flowing skirt. The Yuan women aristocracy had their own style; Zhi sun dresses were very popular in the Yuan dynasty. Coats were considered an informal dress in the Qin and Han dynasty. The Tang noblewomen favored the hundred bird dress.

As the times changed, the empire had a new law for all items of clothing. During the Sui, the emperor decided that all poor people could wear blue or black clothes and only rich people could wear colored clothes. Sometime in the years all the clothes were dark, all people wore the same style, most of the clothes were silk (everyone wore silk), and cotton became in style but it never became more popular than silk. All people had to wear thick clothes during the winter. Then clothes were never a casual matter.

Fashion alterations

It is really obvious that when you walk around the streets of almost any city or town in America that the line between what was once considered the black style of dress and the white styles has become less and less evident. This is especially true with the younger kids in junior high and high school. The baggy pants and shirts with labels and bright colors that were once reserved for the inner city black and Latino kids, are now being worn by whites in wealthy suburban neighborhoods.
I lived in a wealthy upper middle class area of michigan for most of my life and over the past five to ten years the change in style of dress for community kids has become more and more apparent. Almost all of the clothing stores started carrying the underground hip-hop clothes that were once only found to be worren by lower class. Even major labels such as Tommy Hillfigger started designing larger clothes with brighter colors. There jeans were available in relaxed fit and even baggy. Hip Hop had now become a large market for young teenagers and people in their early twenties.
I went to a private school with a very strict dress code and even there you could tell that the new urban fashion was having an effect on the way some students dressed. They would try to get baggier pants and would wear bright colored shirts with logos on the front. At ballgames they would wear baggy blue jeans and sweatshirts with "Polo" or "Nautica" emblems on the front. Whenever we had a casual day all the kids would go to the mall and you would see the baggy jeans and bright shirts on everyone. When the weather got colder kids at school started wearing the bomber ski jackets, so many people at my school had them that the school maid them illegal to wear. Also more and more guys started wearing the large hiking boots that were too large for their khaki pants, so they had to cut them at the bottom to fit around the boots.
I don’t know exactly how these trends came about but I remember it started when I was still a kid. At first it was the large "Starter" jackets with The Raiders or Miami Dolphins logos on them, and then it went to overalls and Adidas shoes and jackets. These were the things that white kids saw their favorite musicians or athletes wearing in videos and in movies. Rap music became the music choice of the suburban teenager as they looked for ways to rebel from their parents. And rappers tried to portray themselves as wealthy and powerful people with name brand clothing and expensive cars. But as always they added their own touch to fashion by adding the style of oversized clothing and bright colors.
As the years have gone by I have noticed that this style of dress is usually limited to high school and middle school kids. But even still I see many people in college including myself who still can’t help but to pull out the baggy pants every once in a while. I think that it is something that is part of our generation, just as tight jeans and slicked back hair were part of the fifties, and bell bottoms and tie-died shirts were the thing to wear in the sixties.
Just as those things have come and gone so will the styles which we wear today. All it will take is another hit song with a musician or a basketball player wearing some wild new assortment of clothing to change the whole way a generation dresses.

Online Shopping

Today fashion took over our lives, we all search and look for new trends and what is in style today so we can buy and always look hot and sexy. Not just that today all of the common fashion stores have websites and you can shop in the comfort of your home and receive them without going out and searching for the things that you have in mind. I am an online shopper i always shop online because i think it is more convenient than going to a store and looking around for the pair of pants i wan and their is an opportunity not to find it. Instead we can search for the pants that we want and get it delivered to our home. I know that you won't get it the same time and you have to wait for it but i think it is worth it because trust me you find more things online than going to the store and look around all of the different variety of products available. Not just that you also find allot of items for cheaper online, and that i know personally because once i went shopping and bought a shirt for $29 and a necklace for $12, then when i went home i went online and went on the stores website and seen the same shirt for $12 and the necklace for only $3.99. All i am trying to say is that you should try it out and you will thank me for that!!!!

Here are some online shopping stores that i always visit
